This year, 319 projects are nominated for the SESAMES Awards competition, the unchallenged label that rewards the industry’s best innovations. Indeed, the competition represents a real promotional springboard for the winners, whose brand awareness increases considerably, thus facilitating the success of their projects.
There really is a SESAMES effect and some of the winners testify that winning an award can considerably support the launch of new products, in terms of press releases and customer perception. The SESAMES Awards reward the top ten technological innovations that span the entire sector.

As for the previous years, the SESAMES Awards 2013 contest has reached a high level of success with nearly 320 proposals coming from 85 companies, from 30 different countries in the five continents. The innovations addressing “Mobility”, “Banking/Retail/Loyalty” and “e-transactions ” categories are taking the lion’s share, with the emerging NFC standard. Security is also keeping a major impact, with the specific portability issue of applications supported by a wide range of mobile devices. Moreover, due to the key importance conferred to innovation, the SESAMES Awards 2013 contest has raised a high level of interest amongst start-ups and more than 25 of them have submitted one or more proposals.
